Know The Interview Etiquettes

In order to improve your chances for being shortlisted and selected for the job, you need to learn some interview etiquettes. These include not only what you need to do before and after the interview but also after it. You should send an interview thank you email as it can serve a lot of purposes.

Some of the benefits of a thank you email after interview are that you are able to show appreciation for the employer’s interest in you, reaffirm your interest for the job opening in the organization, the chance to review or remind the employer about your qualifications for the position, show your good manners and etiquette to your prospective employer, and provide any information that your interviewer may have asked you to provide.

You have the option to send a handwritten, typed hard copy or email than you letter to follow up after interview. Email is the most appropriate if that was the first method of communication between you and the organization for which you want to work.  It is very likely that your contact actually expresses a preference for email as it is the preferred means of communication these days. The advantage of sending thank you email after interview if your contact is traveling is obvious.
